A popular bus service running across the Exmoor National Park will return to Devon and Somerset at the end of May.

The Exmoor Explorer (formerly the Exmoor Coaster) runs during the summer months, providing regular double-decker services between Blue Anchor and Ilfracombe via Dunster, Minehead, Porlock, Lynmouth and Combe Martin.

Stagecoach South West says that the service will be back from Sunday, May 24 (just before the Spring Bank Holiday), with the full timetable expected to be published shortly.

The double-deckers used on the Exmoor Explorer route are typically closed roof in May and June, with open-top services beginning in July and August.

The Exmoor Explorer service will be subject to the government's bus fare cap, meaning that any single journey of whatever distance will cost a maximum of £3 per passenger.

The entire route is dog-friendly and accepts English national concessionary travel passes.

This service not only offers breathtaking views and a unique travel experience but offers residents and visitors an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of our region in a sustainable and enjoyable way.
